Comments on the Book

This is a must copy for any person with ambitions to become successful in farming.

The approach has included the analysis of the successes and failures which in terms of strategic planning has been negated due to traditional approach.

I am recommending this book to the Chairman of the Board of Directors as a reference manual. Its easy to read text with all questions you could ever ask addressed on farming management. I would believe any farmer who lays hands on this book would want to purchase it immediately. I have already ordered four (4) for my organization. Well done Dr. Wim Nell.

I got into the office today, having been away for a few days, and it was waiting for me! It looks good. Your book is the first farm management textbook for some years, and the subject needed a new look. I shall enjoy going through it. Farmers are fortunate. They have a book, written in plain English, that they can refer to which specifically deals with the issue of strategic planning in an agricultural environment. This book is so informative, it should’ve been in its third reprint by now. C. Bertie Brink Zambia (Letter to Farmer’s Weekly, 19 August 2005).

I was pleased to meet you again in the 2005 world farm management event. May I congratulate again on your book. The content, the main messages and guidelines seem very relevant and actual for the Hungarian agriculturists, too. Please keep our contacts. Sincerely Voros Mihaly voros.mihaly@mutf.hu
